When my children are grown I want to be able to look back on their lives with joy and satisfaction. I want to be able to remember what really happened...the sweet smiles, the messy faces, the tantrums...all of it. So I firmly believe in photographing children of every age in their natural surroundings. I shoot with only existing natural light indoors and outdoors. I will never ask a child to "say cheese". I want for you to remember what their bassinet looked like with them in it. Or the special way that they held their teddy bear on their bed while sucking their thumb. Or that pouty whimper that gets you every time. I want you to remember them. |
