He just turned one and was so fun to hang out with!

Mom and Dad were referred to me by a long time friend and it was so nice to play with little “M”…he loved my airplane rides and cheerios and the yummy cupcake for his Birthday Mini Session.

These Birthday Mini Sessions have gotten to be so fun for me…I ABSOLUTELY LOVE watching the kids of all ages dive into their cupcakes. I have another couple Birthday MINI Sessions coming up soon to show you and….

sleep a little,

and then shoot some more!

The last month has been an ABSOLUTELY WILD ride for my family. My hubby had a FULL hip replacement a month ago and had some complications.  At the same time my grandmother was having some tests done, my mom had just had surgery, and my dad had major surgery and was in the hospital for 2 weeks.

Right about two weeks later we went to my cousin’s reception in San Diego and then came back and did some more shoots and then went to my inlaws cabin for break when my hubs realized he had broken his foot…the one he has to use to support him from his new hip. Once he had it x-rayed they told him that he had been walking on it broken for a quite a while…now this wouldn’t have been so bad if he hadn’t just broken a bone in the OTHER foot a month and a half before!

Once home I had loads of Mini -Sessions at the Chateau de Vie which were quite exhilarating  and I am SO loving that new location.

And then…I got to come to Dallas and Austin to do shoots and a few mentoring sessions  and it has been an amazingly fun time with some really cool new and old clients. The Dallas Arboretum is TOO DIE FOR…it was one of the most beautiful garden’s I have ever seen and compares equally with all the gardens that I photographed this summer in Europe. Then in Austin I went to another park and caught some pretty cool structures on film.

I am traveling home tomorrow and am really excited to be able to get through all of these amazing shoots! I can’t wait to see all  the Christmas cards that will be created from all the family pictures taken in Chandler, Dallas, and Austin!

So…first up…I got to photograph some pretty dang cute cookies for SUNSHINE cookies…they don’t quite have  a website/blog up yet but the owner TARI BENICH has a facebook account and you can contact her through that if you want. The cookies are a thinner sugar cookie that is really buttery and then has super thin sweet frosting…they are SERIOUSLY so yummy…we fought over the cookies at home! But beware…they are super addicting…I keep craving them every time I look at the images!

And this little guy was just so awesome!!!! He was the best little model…I really wanted to have a red headed child for this shoot and I found him on facebook…on my fan page….I love it! I really want to use him again for some other modeling jobs because he did so fabulously and so did this rooster!

Tomorrow I will show some of the fun shots that I have gotten at Chateau de Vie….it is such a BEAUTIFUL location and I have been so very lucky to be able to shoot there! I hope you are all enjoying a gorgeous fall day!

The  Chandler property  boasts 10 acres  of lush vegetation, mature trees, streams, ponds, brick walkways, a beautiful wrought iron fence, as well as  waterfalls. The LIGHT there is INCREDIBLE and I can’t wait to do my Phoenix Holiday Mini Sessions there. The property is located in Chandler just minutes from major freeways and Phoenix…it is truly such an exclusive opportunity for any photographer. I am so grateful to be the exclusive photographer of this location this Holiday season so you won’t see this location on any of your friends Christmas cards!

Seriously…are you dying…isn’t it amazingly beautiful…even with these crappy point and shoot images. This is the backyard which is covered in pine trees…which looks totally different from the ash trees in the front yard.

The light here is INCREDIBLE…so much shade in all the right spots so you won’t be baking in the sun while being photographed.

Check out the cute bridge….man I have so many ideas running through my head.
