SO when I first showed up to photograph the Bullocks….I was SHOCKED. You see we were shooting in their aunt’s backyard. And truthfully when they said that their aunt had a nice backyard I was a wee bit skeptical…because if you live in Arizona you know that EVERY single back yard is full of BORING block walls. I LOATHE block walls…truly i do!
So when she told me that her aunt and uncle where the Owners of El Zocalo Restaurant I about flipped out. You see I LOVE that restaurant. So I KNEW the backyard would be cool because the restaurant was cool! And boy was I RIGHT. The backyard had MANY fun walls that had been handcrafted with amazing textures! Here is one of the awesome walls that had oodles of rocks. I LOVE this image in black and white!
I photographed their family in the late afternoon which made the walls literally glow….it was breathtaking and I was in TOTAL photography heaven!
They also had some beautiful furniture that worked really well for the shoot!

As well as some fun colored walls!

This little one was really LOVING having her picture taken….

And this little guy had a blast with daddy….

And when this little guy smiles in makes my daughter BLUSH…BIG TIME….I think she has a TOTAL crush on him.

So I know that you have been wondering what the heck the backdrop was….you may be able to see it a little bit better in this image….I will post some closer up images soon so you can see the amazing detail!

SO miss liz guessed it right with this comment….
Liz – Hey Sarah!! I wanted to say thank you one more time for being an awesome teacher at your Canon class. I learned so much and for all those contemplating on taking the class its definitley worth it. So I’m going to take a stab at what’s behind the little boy and girl in the picture. Judging from the picture of the mom holding the little girl and seeing the brick wall behind them it looks likes it is a part of the wall. So maybe its a tile mosaic? Although I’ve never seen anything like that before and its so colorful. Prayers are sent your way to your family. I hope she gets better.
Liz was right…it was a tile mosaic wall! It is amazing in person! Liz…I will be emailing you to send you your target gift card…HOORAY!
Mom and Dad are BEAUTIFUL people inside and out and are the owners of El Sol Salsa. You see Mrs. Bullock’s family has owned El Sol Bakery for years and now the family has started manufacturing their salsa and selling it to Costco’s, Sam’s club and other grocery stores throughout the state and midwest. I currently have been noshing on some salsa and yummy guacamole for the last couple of days. It is SO yummy! SO grab some next time you are out and and about….oh and they have a new lime version that is my new FAV! Stay tuned for some new photography

Stay tuned for some new photography class dates, a sneak peek at the REAL cinderella and her darling baby, and some seriously good looking twinners!
